| Operation Exodus.. |
[27 Sep 2004|07:40pm] |
I have had it with this place. and everything is going as planned on January 10th 2005 I will be leaving Winnipeg. Im not sure where to but my Plan lands in Bangkok Thailand on Jan 11. Ill spend a few days there then the real Dilemma. I have a few Options:
Chengdu China, To teach english. may be intresting I can definetly use the Chinese languague to my advantage for future purposes. term of contract 1 year.. Pays about 5-600 us dollars a month (pretty good for China)
+China would be an Intresting place to spend a year in. + learn mandarian chinese + The weeds cheap + Everything is cheap
- low wages - the masses of humanity - pretty far away from any family
Pusan Korea, Part Time English teaching and working for Trymax co. Kr. This would be an awesome experience working in a modern country with my friend MR. Don Hak Lee.. Pays abou 2000 usd a month.. teaching and corporate work
+ Mr Lee + Corporate Sales training + Korea is Modern + Pusan is Like Vancouver... except it has just a bit more asians + Hauendae Beach
- No weed -Expensive - Korea can be boring - probably would wish to be somewhere else
Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, Finish my degree at the International Islamic University as well as Tutor part-time. Id have a chance to attend a world renowned university and be in a city where I can make decent cash tutoring kids.. as well as live in a city where my family has mad "hook ups
+ IIU one of the best schools in the world + Free tuition + KL is more modern then any Canadian city + good weather 30 + everyday + Family has hook ups
- 3 year commitment - The strict Drug Laws in Malaysia make it a no no - 3500 ringitt a month is a little over a thousand bucks canadian.. - probably have to pay for an apartment - Most likely will meet a Malysian girl and get marriend + or - i dunno?
Dubai UAE, I havent got any confirmation but Id like to live there. I might have to go job hunting there first. Dubai might be some where i would go after a few years out.
Bangkok Thailand, Anything I want
+ I have a Thai Passport + Family everywhere + Bangkok is off the hook + I can speak thai + I have lots of friends there
- BKK is crazy - you can spend money like water - I would party too much - I would probably lose all direction and end up on Khao San Road everynight drinking and getting high
So yeah.. Lots of Options hopefully in the next few months I can make my up my mind. But Im not gonna be a Winnipeger for any much longer.. IM OUT NUKKAZ!!
AND YALL SHOULD COME WITH!!

| Euro Cup. 2004 |
[23 Jun 2004|02:02am] |
Ive been watching alot of Euro latley.. thats cause I eat sleep and breathe football. every couple years its a special time around my family cause from the littlest 5 year old to my old aunts get crazy around football. If anyone is watching the games we should get together and cheer. so ill give you my expert analysis on the second round.
France vs Greece.. France 3-1
Greece is lucky to be in the quarterfinals. Mind you they do play a tight defensive game. watch out for Nikolitis to finally score. but in the end it will be a Thierry Henry and the French Strike force to pound in atleast 3.
Goals. France:Henry(2)Zidane (1) Greece: Nikolitis (1)
England vs Portugal Portugal 3-2
This should be The game of the quarterfinals.Lots of end to end action. Watch out for Portugal to come out early and score one for the home crowd. Rooney will score will he score enough to beat the hosts?.. I think not. Portugal advances to set up the a rematch of the 2000 semifinal.
Goals. England: Rooney(1) Owen (1) Portugal: Ronaldo(1) Figo(1) nuno gomes(1)
Czech Rep vs Denmark Czech 2-1
The most impressive team in the tournament so far is the czech republic. Nedved has been phenomenal definetley earing his euro footballer of the year title. but watch out for this one to be tight with bursts of brillance from poborsky and tommason.at the end.it will be the czechs that prevail.
Goals. Czech: poborsky (1) nedved (1) Denmark: Tommason (1)
Sweden vs ?? more analysis tommorow
i should just work for fox sports world

It could be perhaps, that what runs in thier blood, is the blood they suck from us. Why do they still live??,Ronald Reagan lives til hes 93, and for the last 10 years of his life he was afforded the luxury of forgetting his crimes and his pride and his part in this systemic transfusion. [12 May 2004|09:10am] |
So Im back from the far east. and the last two weeks have been truely inspirational. I saw a world of so much oppurtunity and a potential paradise that is in my grasp. Yet I return to this familiar ground locked in its 4 walls not moving, not thinking, not creating, yet still breathing. Im gonna need a couple days to suck this in.. and question what the fuck am I doing here.. when i could be in Paradise happy as fuck everyday working hard every day. and loving every minute of it. THis is too much. call it a mid 20's crisis. Its hard now to think positive things about home. Cause across the big pond there is the life that i want. by the beach renting out jet skis to fat german tourists.. getting paid well.enough to eat live, just like what we are all doing here..yet i would be in paradise and watch beauitful sunsets everyday.. and evey night I would see 10000 stars shining like diamonds in the sky.I need a way out. I have nothing here other then Rogue Nation right now.after we complete the next record we will see what happens.. but I found a better way to live. I have found peace. yet it isnt here in this appartment.\
Sorry Sam for not comming out.. I had full intention.. but i crashed out at like 5 pm and woke up at 1 am..

| 6 30 am post on the Issue of Hardcore vs Fashion Core |
[29 Mar 2004|05:26am] |
Am I an expert in the field of hardcore studies? Since Ive Graduted from hardcore barley passing with a C-... Probably not.. But im gonna make this point anyways.
Why do people make such a big deal about what people wear? Especially to a supposadly non conformist event such as a hardcore show.? Its an issue that usually kids that care WAY too much about their scene seem to obsess over. The buzzword of early 2004 is Fashion-core?? what the fuck is that..?? what makes you "Hard" Core? and what makes you "Fashion"-core. Ok if you want MY modern definition of of what A "Hard" Core kid is and a "Fashion" core kid is.. Ill do my best..
Hardcore Kid-- Short haired, neatly attired, Generally Nerdy individuals with little to no social skills outside there respected "crews". Despises everyone who is not "Hard" Core. A Hardcore kids Lexicon is borrowed from Minor Threat and Judge Records as well as the aptly inserted inside joke. and or/ comments borrowed by fictional cartoon characters. Can be seen looking very monolithic in the "pit" for the cool bands. and outside talking shit while other bands and "P.C" bands are playing. Extreme Emphasis on being "Hard" as the Title "Hard" core kid suggests. They like unity as a paper ideology but like communism it crumbles when practiced.
Fashion Core-- Various Hair styles,Neatly attired, Generally Social individuals who like borrowing from current trends to create a style that suits their fancy. Can be seen at shows In the pit being ridculed by "Hard"core kids because of their clothes and the fact that they are not "Hard". Fashion Core kids usually mind thier own business and don't consider themselves as Fashion Core until labled so by "Hard"Core Kids. Note: 5 years from now if a "Fashion" Core kid Persists They will be no longer "Fashion" Core and will either be A) Emo B)Idie C)Dropping E at a Rave or D) Cool enough to be "OLD school" Hardcore.
Or we can all be ourselves be diverse people with diverse tastes,Wear makeup,Grow your hair long, shave a mohawk, wear ripped acid washed jeans BUT enjoy love, art and music together. Without false boundaries such as scenes or superfical apperances. Become friends with those who are diffrent then you and appreciate how lucky you are to be exposed to these new forms of art, literature, ideas. but hey Im old. So my opinion may not matter.
Is it too much to ask if everyone could just stop worrying about their false "cred" and their non existent status and start worrying about REAL issues such as The state of This Vanishing country,People living under apartheid in 2004 in The west bank, the hunger of children in our own backyard or the extiction of entire species of animals.. but those issues need real passion and passionate inviduals for them to be resolved. Passion that is being wasted on petty things such as a genre of music or how tight a dudes pants are(why are you looking at dudes pants anyways are you gay?).
I was once a hardcore kid. Then I grew up. Since there is no such thing as a "HARD"Core Grown up. I guess I Graduated with a C-.
Playlist for the Inner "Hard"core kid
-Bad Brains - Rock For light -Cro-Mags - Best wishes -S.T - How will I laugh tommorow =Earth Crisis - Firestorm -Black Flag - Damaged -Dead Kennedys - Holiday in Cambodia
Playlist for the Outer "Fashion" core kid
Atreyu- suicide notes and butterfly kisses Billy Talent- Billy Talent From Autumn To ashes - the fiction we live AFI - Sing the sorrow
Playlist for being Omar X:
Pearl Jam - Riot Act Israel Vibrations - A live one.. Led Zeppelin - Early Days,Latter Days (The song no quarter especially listen to zep!) Elephant Man- Good 2 Go.. and that theme song for the Jamaican Olympic team (GO J.A!) Refused - The shape of punk to come. John Lee Hooker - Best of the boogie and blues
"We can learn alot from each other by talking listening" -- I-spy.. mid nineties..or somewhere around there..

| Israel.. a ticking time bomb.. |
[23 Mar 2004|10:54pm] |
Sheikh Yassin's murder
Israel's brutal target-killing of Hamas founder and spiritual leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin will be seen as an act of state terrorism not only by the Arab and Muslim world but by all sane people across the globe.
It comes as a grim reminder that murders and assassinations are considered by Zionists to be a legitimate way of furthering their expansionist policy. Hamas, much to the chagrin of Israel, was never designated as a terrorist organization by the United Nations.
In fact, the US is the only other country besides Israel that outlawed the Islamist Palestinian resistance group. The Israeli helicopter gunship attack in northern Gaza Strip in the early hours of Monday that left the Hamas leader and eight of his close associates dead and many seriously wounded had all the hallmarks of an Israeli crime about it.
The attack sparked widespread anger among Palestinians belonging to all shades of opinion. As expected, Hamas responded to the outrage just minutes later, threatening revenge and saying that the latest killings had "opened the gates of hell" and would "send death to every house, every city and every street in Israel."
Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei condemned the attack, aptly terming it "a dangerous, cowardly act". British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw denounced the killings as "unlawful, unjust and unacceptable".
Most other western governments have echoed similar condemnations, the US so far perhaps the only exception, saying simply that both sides should exercise restraint.
The Bush administration's muted reaction may have much to do with this being an election year. But polls or no polls, American support to Israel is always continuous and uninhibited and it has encouraged Mr Ariel Sharon in his expansionist agenda to the extent that it has all but destroyed the US-led roadmap to peace.
The popularity of Hamas increased during the ongoing second Intifada, which began in September 2000, when Mr Sharon, then in opposition, paid a provocative visit to the Al Aqsa compound despite being advised against it.
The violence that followed his visit has so far claimed over a thousand lives, mostly Palestinian. The Middle East peace process has now come to a halt, with the Israeli army making regular incursions into occupied territories and the Palestinian militants responding through suicide bombings in Israel.
Frail and nearly blind, and often at odds with the Palestinian Authority, 67-year-old Sheikh Yassin had come to symbolize for his followers the uncompromising spirit of the Palestinian people to fight for freedom.
In July last year Hamas rescinded its unilateral ceasefire against Israel because Mr Sharon had continued his attacks on the occupied authorities. Soon afterwards, Israel declared Sheikh Yassin a "marked target" for assassination and attempted to kill him last September.
The latest, and indeed very provocative, killings confirm the fear that Mr Sharon is bent upon implementing his unilateral plan, which is aimed at scuttling the roadmap to peace drafted by the Quartet - the US, EU, UN and Russia - and presented by President Bush last April.
Mr Sharon's alternative plan, which envisages the dismantling of a handful of Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip in exchange for Israel's annexation of many larger settlements in the West Bank and the building of the controversial fence around these settlements, runs counter to the roadmap.
Palestinians have called it a conspiracy to grab more of their land and a recipe for disaster, which aims at creating "Bantustans", thereby rendering the future Palestinian state non-viable. Immediately, the fear is that Israel's mad act will now unleash a new wave of violence in the region, with its repercussions felt afar.
Remember.. Since everyone in Israel is conscripted into the military.. there is no such thing as an Israeli civilian.. with the exceptions of Recent Immigrants,Children,The terminally and mentally Ill. For once you join the military you are vulnerable.

| New discoveries... Old Prophecies..We Got a tenth planet |
[16 Mar 2004|03:49am] |
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Sedna to our solar system On Behalf of the citizens of EARTH(Terra 1) Happy Orbit!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Farthest object in sun's grip found Sedna's 10,000-year solar orbit proves existence of Oort Cloud, scientist says
David Perlman, Chronicle Science Editor Tuesday, March 16, 2004
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Astronomers announced Monday they had discovered the most distant object ever detected in the solar system -- a fiercely cold object neither planet nor comet, but a mysterious fossil remnant of a time when planets themselves were barely forming.
The scientists are calling the shiny red object a "planetoid," which is now some 8 billion miles away from Earth. It is flying in a long elliptical orbit around the sun and will be 84 billion miles away before it swings back again more than 5,000 years from now, said its discoverer, Michael E. Brown, a planetary astronomer at the California Institute of Technology.
The object is moving within an immense comet-filled region called the Oort Cloud, whose existence until now had been merely a 50-year-old theory, Brown told reporters in a telephone conference from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena.
The new discovery is the first hard evidence of an Oort Cloud object, Brown said.
He and his colleagues have unofficially named the distant object Sedna, after the Inuit goddess of the Arctic seas. The planetoid occupies the coldest known region of the solar system.
A powerful camera at the Palomar Observatory near San Diego was used in the discovery, revealing a deep-red, shiny object rotating every 40 days -- all mysterious qualities researchers cannot yet explain, Brown said.
It appears to be about 1,100 miles in diameter -- roughly three-quarters the size of Pluto -- or perhaps only 800 miles -- and most probably is composed of a mixture of rock and ice, frozen to 400 degrees below zero Fahrenheit, he said.
Sedna also may have a tiny moon, but if such a satellite exists, only the Hubble Space Telescope would be able to detect it. Hubble is also the best tool to determine Sedna's actual composition and mass, Brown said.
The discovery "opens a new fossil window into the solar system," Brown said.
Sedna is twice as far away as the object now named Quaoar ,which lies near the outer edge of a smaller comet-filled region called the Kuiper Belt that begins just about where Pluto and Neptune orbit the sun and extends out to about 4.5 billion miles from Earth. Quaoar (pronounced kwah-oh-wahr) was discovered in 2002, and astronomers around the world are scanning the Kuiper Belt for more objects like it.
Sedna, too, is likely to be only the first of many similar planetoids that other telescopes are likely to discover now that the Oort Cloud's existence is known, Brown said, noting that his telescope at Palomar has so far scanned only 15 percent of the entire sky, and astronomers everywhere will be prowling the skies for more finds.
Brown's 48-inch Oschin telescope is equipped with a camera that takes images with a resolution of 170 megapixels -- truly powerful compared with the 6-megapixel digital cameras on the market for professional photographers and wealthy amateurs.
Brown and his colleagues, Chad Trujillo of the international Gemini Observatory in Hawaii and David Rabinowitz at Yale, observed the extremely faint object for weeks starting in November. They could see it was moving extremely slowly, but a look at the past three years of archived telescope images showing the same sky region enabled them to pick out the same faint pinprick of an object and calculate both its distance and its orbit, Brown explained.
He said the confirmation of the Oort Cloud's existence was perhaps the most significant aspect of the discovery. The late Dutch astronomer Jan Oort conceived of the cloud that bears his name as a way of explaining where the longest of long-period comets might lie -- a spherical region surrounding the sun that now appears to extend from the edge of the Kuiper Belt and out -- perhaps -- to 100 trillion miles.
The cloud is believed to contain as many as a billion comets, none of which will ever approach the inner solar system that includes Earth and its companion planets, Brown said.
To Brown and his colleagues, Sedna's discovery provides the "first good evidence" that the sun was born more than 4.5 billion years ago, only one among a large cluster of many stars. Sedna must have been one of millions of objects within the Kuiper Belt but was flung out of that region by the gravitational pull of other stars in the cluster that were moving outward in nearby areas of the galaxy.
"The last time Sedna was this close to the sun," Brown said, "Earth was just coming out of the last ice age; the next time it comes back, the world might again be a completely different place."
